10 Wrestlers Who Debuted At The Top
4. Kane
While Glenn Jacobs had been on the WWF scene in a number of forms off and on over the years - namely as Isaac Yankem DDS and the fake Diesel - his repackaging as the demonic brother of The Undertaker was the impetus he needed to really break out as a star.
After several months of allusion by The Undertaker's former manager, Paul Bearer, Kane's impending arrival in the WWF finally came at Badd Blood. The slow build led to an eagerly anticipated debut and what an emphatic debut it was.
Arriving at the tail end of the very first Hell in a Cell bout, contested between The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels, Kane burst onto the scene in haze of red, tearing the cell door off its hinges and laying out his brother with a Tombstone Piledriver.
Leaving his brother laying, Kane effectively cost 'The Phenom' the match and a bloody and beaten Michaels made the cover to secure the win on autopilot. In doing so, Kane had also cost 'Taker a shot at the WWF Championship.
The heat was on from there and Kane went straight into a headline feud with The Undertaker that lasted for several years. Their careers crossed paths multiple times over the course of the next two decades.
