10 Wrestlers Who Deserve A Big Push After WWE Royal Rumble 2019

1. Finn Balor

While there's nothing quite like the spectacle of a big Brock Lesnar match, it takes the right opponent to get the best out of 'The Beast.' Finn Balor was that "right opponent" at the Royal Rumble.

A nine-minute sprint brought out the best in both competitors. Balor exploded out of the gates, hurtling into Lesnar with quick, brutal offence. It was the most exciting he'd looked since becoming the inaugural Universal Champion at SummerSlam 2016, and Brock was surprisingly giving, with his elite-level selling putting the Irishman over as a legitimate contender. Finn lost, because of course he did, but got over in doing so. It was his best night in a long, long time.

This performance proved Balor's worth as a perennial Universal Title contender, if not 'The Guy.' He was born to be something more than the bland wet-blanket babyface WWE have spent the past few years portraying him as. Sadly though, with Bobby Lashley destroying him on the following night's Raw, it looks like the company have no plans to make his main event promotion a permanent one.
