9. Bobby Lashley

The men's Royal Rumble experienced a long lull after the well-worked Edge vs. Randy Orton mini-match in the opening stages. It wasn't bad by any stretch of the word, but lacked the women's bout's electricity and struggled for prolonged periods, though Carlito's beefy return at least helped to spice things up for a few minutes.

Still, the bout didn't really pick up until Bobby Lashley entered and unleashed the beef. Throwing himself into a sick hoss fight with fellow beefers Damian Priest and Big E, he looked outstanding and ended up eliminating Priest, Dominik Mysterio, and The Hurricane, before E, Christian, Riddle, and Daniel Bryan teamed up to get rid of him.

2020 was a good year for Lashley, as WWE finally discovered that giving him a great mouthpiece and letting him be a no-nonsense power-bruiser is the best way to highlight his strengths. In 2021, they should take that to the next level. A push towards the WWE Championship shouldn't be out of the question for a wrestler who has only improved with age.
