10 Wrestlers Who Deserve A Big Push After WWE Royal Rumble 2021

6. Naomi

Shinsuke Nakamura
WWE

Naomi had an awesome comeback in the 2020 Royal Rumble that went viral in non-wrestling circles, catching significant attention outside the bubble. This should have made her a no-brainer candidate for a bigger push. Sadly, WWE did next to nothing with the former Funkadactyl and her year petered out into nothing before she left television for surgery, absent for five months until last night.

Pushing her in 2021 would be as much about making good for last year as anything else. Nonetheless, Naomi had a great run in this year's Rumble. Entering second, she hung in there for over 47 minutes, looked excellent, and worked a unique escape spot by using Bianca Belair's hair to prevent elimination. She's a creative and exuberant performer with genuine magnetism, and last night's showing was a big reminder of that.

A program with Bayley would fit the bill here. Belair's Rumble win means the SmackDown Title picture is likely locked up until WrestleMania 37, and it'd be a shame to see Naomi felled in a filler title match at Elimination Chamber or Fastlane. Working just beneath that level with one of the best wrestlers in the company would be good preparation for post-WrestleMania elevation.
