10 Wrestlers Who Desperately Need New Finishers
2. Dolph Ziggler
Dolph Ziggler needs to change a lot more than just his finisher, to be fair. For the past couple of years, he's been struggling to make a real impact in WWE, to the point where he became a babyface that nobody took seriously. He's recently turned heel, but unlike during his last heel run, nobody cares about him at all.
Before the heel turn, though, Dolph adopted a new finisher - the Superkick. Dolph always used the Superkick as part of his arsenal, but now it's able to keep opponents down for a three count, while the Zig-Zag no longer is. The problem with the Superkick is that it's a really overused move. The Young Bucks have basically made it their own, while The Usos use it a lot, too. Nobody associates the move with Dolph, and all it does is serve to make him more generic.
At this point, Dolph may as well just go back to the Zig-Zag. It's a strange and sometimes awkward-looking move, but it fit him, and it's unique.
