10 Wrestlers Who Desperately Need New Gimmicks

8. Mike Kanellis

The Problem: He's "burning up in your love, your love", and he's never been less useful to WWE than he is right now.

When Mike Kanellis debuted (along with his wife Maria) at last year's Money In The Bank, it was clear to see that the couple were supposed to rub their happiness in everyone's faces. That might've worked had WWE bothered to follow up on their promises to show the world what love was really all about, but they didn't.

Suggested Change: Sit Mike down, see what makes him tick and go from there. He has an interesting story to tell; after struggling with drug addiction, Mike came clean to Maria and she helped him through it. In other words, the strong female character in Mike's life saved the day by sympathising, showing patience and proving her love.

Provided it's handled sensitively, this could be a chance for the Kanellis family to spread a positive message about coming through such a messy situation relatively unscathed and with their relationship in-tact. They're also about to be parents, so there's another avenue to sell Mike's redemption.
