10 Wrestlers Who Desperately Need New Gimmicks

7. Big Cass

The Problem: Splitting Enzo Amore and Big Cass didn't work out for either man in the end. Naturally, WWE weren't to know that Enzo would become tangled in personal problems away from the ring, but the way they handled Cass's heel turn and singles push last summer was clumsy at best.

Cass never looked comfortable as a pushy, dominant heel who would do anything it took to get to the top. In fact, he came across as greener than expected during matches against Amore and Big Show on TV and pay-per-view. It also didn't help that WWE gave Cass the most generic heel music on the current roster.

Suggested Change: Stop presenting Cass as a hastily-put-together CAW in WWE 2K18, move on from the fact he screwed an old friend and start working on a character trait more exciting than sheer physical size to make him stand out from the pack on Raw. Braun Strowman has that covered and connects organically with the fans to boot.

Cass didn't convince as a bad guy, and he needs protection once he returns from injury. Bland ring attire, lazy presentation and further exposure of his limited abilities between the ropes will be terminal if WWE pick up where they left off.
