10 Wrestlers Who Did Bizarre TV Shows

7. Sting: Walker, Texas Ranger

In hindsight, the most bizarre episode of Walker, Texas Ranger to feature a professional wrestler came in the series' ninth season, when, in Division Street, Hulk Hogan played an ex-con attempting to unite a racially divided neighbourhood, something his sex tape activity suggests he has significantly less interest in doing 20 years later.

Hogan's old WCW colleague, Sting, plays a role in the same season. Showing up in episode 19 (Unsafe Speed), the wrestling icon played Grangus, a gruff, hardnosed biker, and delivered his lines with the enthusiasm of a WWE newcomer navigating a script handed to them by a 22-year-old reality television "writer" with no wrestling experience. Poor Sting.

See above for a GIF of Sting, decked out in full biker regalia, actually getting the better of martial arts master (and Walker star) Chuck Norris in hand-to-hand combat. Norris later completely no-sold the Scorpion Death Drop, showing a disgusting lack of respect for kayfabe that this columnist can neither condone nor respect.
