10 Wrestlers Who Did Their Best Work In TNA/IMPACT

3. Robert Roode

The Glorious One's time in WWE has been a mixed bag. On one hand, there's his excellent NXT title run from 2017. On the other, there's everything since. While Roode was moving up a bit in the age category by the time WWE signed him, he still had plenty more to give than he's been allowed to.

Roode's lengthy run in TNA showcased both his talents and his consistent improvements year to year. Starting out as a member of Team Canada, Roode was repackaged as a scummy rich guy before really finding his feet as one half of Beer Money Inc. with James Storm. Carrying the tag division like old pros, it seemed to be just a matter of time before Roode and Storm moved on to main event singles action.

Following a surprise heel turn on his tag partner, Roode went on the best run of his career as the Leader of the Selfish Generation. As TNA's world champ, the shameless Roode kept a death grip on his title, committing all manner of underhanded hijinks to keep it around his waist. Along with garnering a good deal of heat for his behaviour, Roode ensured an aura of prestige surrounded the title by treating it as the most important thing in the world to him. One can't help but feel his talents have ultimately been wasted in recent years.
