10 Wrestlers Who Didn't Fit The Belt
1. Eric Young - TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship
Yet another instance of a man winning a women's championship, but this is arguably much worse than the previous entry, given that Wippleman at least had the decency to try to pass himself off as a woman. When Eric Young competed for the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championships, he very clearly didn't meet the criteria of being a 'Knockout', more conventionally known as a female wrestler.
Nevertheless, on 28 February 2012, Eric Young, alongside ODB, defeated Gail Kim and Madison Rayne to win the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championships. Their partnership initially began the previous December when they were paired together in the 'Wild Card Tournament' to determine the number one contenders for the TNA tag team championship. They didn't win the tournament, but they won each other's hearts, entering into a story line relationship soon after and setting their eyes on the other tag-team titles in the company. After winning them, they successfully defended the titles several times, before Young went on hiatus from the company for a while, before returning and picking up where they left off.
Young and ODB were eventually stripped of the titles on 20 June 2013 by Knockouts Division Executive Brooke Hogan, because she apparently noticed what nobody else had for the previous 478 days - that Eric Young was a man. Perhaps unsure of how Young self-identified, TNA management had been reluctant to challenge him on this, or perhaps they were just incompetent. That seems more likely, come to think of it.
The titles never again saw the light of day, and as such, a man will go down in history as one half of the longest reigning and final TNA Knockouts Champions.
