10 Wrestlers Who Didn't Fit The Belt

6. David Arquette - WCW World Heayweight Championship

Other than Vince Russo, there aren't many people in the world that would be brave enough to suggest that David Arquette winning the WCW World Heavyweight Championship was a good idea. Even Arquette himself thought it was a bad idea, and by all accounts he was very reluctant to go ahead with it. Apparently he donated his WCW earnings to the families of Owen Hart, Brian Pillman and Darren Drozdov, so at least some good came from the angles.

Regardless, his twelve days as champion during the year 2000 are generally believed to be one of the final nails in the coffin of WCW. But although fans are pretty much united behind the idea that he didn't deserve to win the title, many don't consider that he actually shouldn't have been eligible to compete for the title in the first place. Not just because he wasn't really a wrestler, but because he was just too light.

Once again we have an example of a World Heavyweight Champion who didn't even come close to being a heavyweight. Weighing in at 150lbs after a big meal, he makes Rey Mysterio look like Yokozuna when it comes to mass. Perhaps WCW officials had just stopped caring by that point, either that or the scales backstage were broken.

Ten years ago, Chris was sent to prison by a military court for a crime he didn't commit. He promptly escaped from a maximum-security stockade to the East Midlands underground. Today, still wanted by the government, he survives as a WhatCulture writer. If you have a problem... if no one else can help... and if you can find him... maybe you can hire...
