HARDCORE COU...oh wait.

Meh, still kinda works for Mickie's husband Nick Aldis. After all, he's been a darling of hardcore wrestling fans since coming into his own as Magnus on TNA screens a decade or so ago. Rumours have been rife for years that Aldis would sign on the dotted line for WWE eventually, but it hasn't happened yet.

When quizzed, the Brit says that he just loves actively wrestling and doesn't lose any sleep over never signing for the biggest promotions in the land. He's also immensely proud of dual reigns as NWA World Heavyweight Champion - especially the second stint, which lasted a whopping 1,043 days.

That near-three year run on top of the NWA must've been a dream come true for someone who has always leaned towards grappling traditions and has a relentless work ethic. The NWA's old-school values live on through Aldis, and that might be the way of it until he hangs up his boots.
