The WWE landscape has most definitely been a far more entertaining one with Brock Lesnar causing chaos within it ever since returning to the Sports Entertainment giant in 2012.

But for every meaty monster mash and jaw-dropping feat of carnage The Beast Incarnate has found himself at the centre of over the last decade, there's still no getting away from the fact that the former UFC Heavyweight Champion generally finds more joy in lining his pockets with WWE dollar than he does putting smiles on fans' faces.

And sniffing the chance to get even more eyes on their blockbuster Beast in the wake of Lesnar's reported attempts to step back into the UFC in 2018, WWE had their Universal Champion lean into the fact that fans were a bit tired of having a star at the top who seemingly didn't give a toss about the business altogether.

Look no further than the July 31, 2018 edition of Raw that depicted the all-conquering champ confess to Paul Heyman "I don't watch the show, Paul. Why would I watch the show?", a move that admittedly still couldn't convince folks to cheer for Roman Reigns, mind.

Still, Brock and WWE knew there was more money to be made in his mercenary schtick, so this Beast happily obliged.
