10 Wrestlers Who Fell Off The Face Of The Earth

7. Lance Cade's Personal Demons

Whether teaming with Mark Jindrak, in Ohio Valley Wrestling, forming a successful duo with Trevor Murdoch or acting as a bodyguard to Chris Jericho, Lance Cade was always one wrestler perceived as being a future star in WWE. "Limitless potential" was the phrase used by Hall Of Fame announcer Jim Ross when describing Cade's talents, but he'd never quite make it above the mid-card before drug problems would derail his career in 2008. Taking ill on a plane ride, Cade suffered a seizure, one which has since been linked to drug use. Sadly, the one-time student of Shawn Michaels would lose his life in 2010, aged only 29. Heart failure was given as the cause of death for the man, who had at one point seemed destined to do great things in the wrestling industry. It was curious when Cade was released by WWE, as it seemed for all the world like he was set to be a big part of things following his close loss to Michaels in a no disqualification match on Raw. Lance Cade would actually be fired in 2008, only to return the following year, before being canned once more in June, 2010, just months before his passing.
