10 Wrestlers Who Foreshadowed Everything

'The Voice Of The Voiceless' no longer, CM Punk's 2021 return to wrestling saw that specific nickname retired because he no longer felt the obligation to speak for anybody other than himself.

This was categorically not the case during his time in WWE.

His legendary "Pipe Bomb" was a legitimate call for the company to sort itself out, with a shopping list of demands that weren't met and complaints that now scan as prophecies. A master storyteller, it wasn't the first or last time he showed us all the future before it materialised for real.

A late 2010/early 2011 feud with John Cena got started in secret when 'The Champ' haphazardly knocked over Punk's diet soda. A second Money In The Bank victory in 2009 for the 'Straight Edge Superstar' was met with some boos - so he turned them into a full blown switch to the dark side at Jeff Hardy's expense. He wore gear identical to The Shield's garb for 2K promos ahead of willing the core idea into existence during the same title run. He provided a fitting sequel to the original Vegas promo just to help build a programme with The Rock that he gave him some of what he needed but none of what he deserved.

He explained how sick he was of the unchanging system. And just over a year to the day after that, he finally escaped it.
