Though Bret Hart was most famously embroiled in a grudge with Shawn Michaels, it's probably also fair to say that the Canadian was never the biggest fan of Triple H.

As a fixture in one of the biggest feuds in wrestling history, it's not surprising that Hunter got caught in the crossfire, but it wasn't until 2005 that the true extent of The Game's involvement in the infamous Montreal Screwjob came to light. In his autobiography, Michaels claimed that it was actually Trips who had come up with the idea of screwing Bret out of the belt to ensure that he didn't take it to WCW.

Despite largely making peace with the infamous event, Hart has remained outspoken in his opinions on WWE's COO, particularly on his podcast. Hart repeated the common criticism that nepotism played a large part in HHH's dominance in the WWE, and also stated his belief that The Game was not a great in-ring worker:

"He was a very good, medium, mediocre wrestler. He never blew me away with anything that he’s ever done. He’s never come up with much. He’s always been a very decent wrestler that could give you a good match. As far as being like mind-blowing… I never saw it. I’ve still never seen it."
