Chemistry is an integral part of great pro wrestling. The interplay and meshing of opponents/rivals, along with the collaboration that goes into tag team wrestling and the natural charm and charisma that comes across the screen for romantic on-screen couples, makes for great matches and storylines.

In-ring chemistry is crucial in getting the audience to react and be on the edge of their seats with excitement. Look to Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat and ‘The Nature Boy’ Ric Flair tearing it up in the ‘80s in their trilogy of classics over the NWA Heavyweight Championship or Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit having as many classics against each other (e.g. Royal Rumble 2003) as they did teaming together (e.g. No Mercy 2002) or Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock captivating millions in the height of the Attitude Era with extraordinary bloodshed classics.

Chemistry also extends to alliances in wrestling, like Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman meshing so well together as The Conqueror and The Advocate and Daniel Bryan and Kane being the highlight of WWE television in 2012 with their anger management sessions and Team Hell No partnership.

But there are times when WWE creative completely misses the opportunity on Superstars who shared glimpses of amazing chemistry together in one-off matches and segments.
