10 Wrestlers Who Had Their Trigger Pulled Way Too Late

7. Ember Moon

King Booker World Heavyweight Champion
WWE

Asuka's unbelievable undefeated streak brought prestige to the NXT's Women's Division like never before.

Fans were waiting to see who would be chosen to receive the massive rub from defeating her and Ember Moon seemed like a good candidate. She was well-liked, good in the ring, and had a massively over finisher in the Eclipse.

Ember was scheduled to face Asuka for the title at TakeOver: Orlando, going into the match with her own undefeated streak behind her.

If NXT were ever planning on having Moon pin Asuka, this was the time. However, whilst Asuka's undefeated streak did not end this night, Moon's did.

Moon then got injured, taking her out of a planned Fatal 4-Way match for the title in Chicago. She then returned to face Asuka one-on-one again in Brooklyn, which she also lost.

Moon eventually became NXT Women's Champion, but she only did it after Asuka vacated the championship. The fact that Moon had lost so many times to Asuka by this point and was then only able to win the belt when Asuka went out injured robbed her title win of any satisfaction.
