10 Wrestlers Who Had Their Trigger Pulled Way Too Late

6. Bret Hart

In 1997, WCW scored big when Bret 'The Hitman' Hart made his move to the company from WWF.

Not only was Hart one of the best and most popular wrestlers at the time, but he was also coming off the back of the biggest story in wrestling history - the Montreal Screwjob.

However, because they were WCW, they dropped the ball hard.

Hart's first involvement in the company was as part of the infamous finish to Starrcade '97, which got him off to a bad start. He then fell victim to the virus that was the New World Order and his star power declined massively.

Hart should have become a top guy in WCW straight away, but for some ungodly reason, it took him two years to win the World Championship. He won the title twice in late 1999, but was forced to vacate it on both occasions due to a mixture of storyline controversy and a legitimate injury.

In 1997, The Hitman was the hottest thing in all of wrestling, but WCW let him go cold as ice.

Only in WCW.
