10 Wrestlers Who Hated Parodies Of Their Work

1. Jim Ross

On a list mostly featuring pissy and hilarious responses to agreed-upon parody skits, Jim Ross' reaction to a parody of his work is as justified as it gets.

An acerbic and candid man - even when he's meant to be putting things over - JR is so beloved and respected within the industry that most believe he's entitled to take a drizzling barbecued biscuits sh*t all over something he doesn't like. Considering he was once the head of talent relations in WWE, i.e. the man wrestlers deemed it politically safe to bury f*ck out of, he is remarkably well-liked. It's a testament to his incredible contributions to the business.

You'd have to be a piece of sh*t to do anything else than affectionately bury his clichés, or mock his perversions on Twitter. The man does have an educated right hand.

Enter Vince Russo.

His writing partner Ed Ferrara parodied Ross and more specifically his Bells Palsy. Astonishingly - or not, as the case may be, because Vince McMahon routinely buried JR - the bit actually began on WWF programming. It was intensified in WCW, to such a disgusting extent that Jim Cornette once spat on Ferrara and offered him outside.

Ross was disgusted, but dignified, revealing on Grilling JR that it was very hurtful, unproductive and unnecessary. Proving that he was twice the man Russo and Ferrara ever were, he later forgave them.
