Another tag team who just didn’t get along. The British Bulldogs were WWE linchpins back in the 1980s. They engaged in some truly legendary matches with The Hart Foundation, and were among the company’s most popular acts during an eight-month run as WWE Tag Team Champions. Davey Boy Smith and Dynamite Kid made for a perfect big guy/little guy tag combo, and they dazzled audiences across the globe.

Things were far from harmonious when the cameras were off, however. Dynamite Kid was always known as an awkward guy to work with, and as the duo spent increasingly long periods on the road together, their resentment grew. Smith and Kid drifted further and further apart, but the final straw came near the end of their run, when Smith copyrighted the 'British Bulldog' name that had made them famous.

The team split, and Dynamite Kid was forced to retire shortly afterwards. Meanwhile, Smith went on to become one of WWE’s biggest singles stars as 'The British Bulldog', and Kid was stewing. He alleges that the copyrighting had cost him countless royalty cheques over the years, and the relationship became so strained that their younger relatives, Tyson Kidd and Davey Boy Smith Jr., claim that deep divisions still exist within the Hart family as a result.
