Erik, Ivar, Angelo Dawkins, And Montez Ford are dead. Or at least, in some sort of strange mirror universe dimension they are, I'm not entirely sure.
Regardless I'm not really certain how much scientific methodology or medical insight I can add to this one, as it's just four lads falling into a giant, hungry, sentient dumpster. Even their eventual consumption is considerably more implied than anything else. We see... a tentacle... and hear some things... and that's it.
We then immediately cut back to Backlash where commentary, in perhaps the most damning undersell in WWE history, ignored the garbage monster, the 7ft Ninja, and everything else, and simply said that the advertised Raw Tag Team Championship match would not be happening.
Despite this Twilight Zone-esque fatality, both teams were back on television within the week. Proving that the only real damage here was to the integrity of the brand and the tag division, rather than the unlucky souls who'd fallen into the murderous trash.
Current Status: They're Alive, But Cinematic Matches As A Concept Are Definitely Dead After This
