3. The Thing In Rowan's Cage - Crushed
The Thing inside Erick Rowan's cage is dead and, by proxy, so is he.
I'm just going to rock you with one here. That 'what's in the cage' mystery ran for almost six months. Yep. almost six entire months of your life. Early November 2019 when he started carrying it around everywhere, to the 2 March 2020 when he finally revealed that it was a spider. Not Hornswoggle like you thought, or Liv Morgan as was bizarrely suggested, a giant spider as real as my medical degree.
But like all great reveals in WWE's storied history, the joy was short-lived. A mere week removed from this astounding, hairy revelation, Drew McIntyre crushed the cage with the steel ring steps, and neither Rowan nor his spider were ever seen on TV again.
Without getting too gross here, while many breeds of spider do have a toughened outer carapace to protect them from being crushed while they scuttle around on the floor, none are fully prepared for the meteoric force of 500lbs raining down on them. And yes, that is how much WWE has claimed they weigh.
