10 Wrestlers Who Have Hit The Glass Ceiling In WWE

9. Apollo Crews

Apollo Crews is a human highlight reel best suited to the kind of all-action sprints that should comprise the bulk of WWE's TV matches thanks, primarily, to his ridiculous agility.

Few people built like Crews can do what he does. He's a bulky 242lbs with a physique that looks like it was chiselled from marble, yet he's capable of pulling off standing Shooting Star Presses and other flippydoos with the grace of a man 70lbs lighter. Most WWE fans recognise this, but the scariest thing about Crews' dexterity is that he hasn't even come close to showing the full breadth of his skyborne arsenal in this promotion and likely never will, given that he has now worked far more WWE bouts than indie matches.

Like Cesaro, Apollo's gifability occasionally leads to calls for an increased push. The guy's lucky to make television most weeks so in this case, "increased push" could just mean appearing on every other episode of Raw or SmackDown, not a full-on title charge. Again though, like Cesaro, Crews' card position is in status because all of his strengths lie between the ropes.

A shame, as that physique and smile could have made him a megastar had the Performance Center refined the 32-year-old's character work.
