10 Wrestlers Who Have Hit The Glass Ceiling In WWE

7. Ember Moon

After 16 injury-interrupted main roster months, it looked like WWE were finally placing Ember Moon on the path to ascension heading into SummerSlam 2019.

Moon was placed into a programme with SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley for 'The Biggest Party of the Summer.' Having overcome Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville in a bullying storyline, she was hand-picked as 'The Hugger's' challenger and even put Bayley and Charlotte Flair down in an emphatic pre-PPV segment, suggesting that even if she lost, Moon would be pushed in the aftermath.

'The War Goddess' losing a plodding 10-minuter encounter that was worked competently but desperately lacked her usual high-octane element. Felled in a nothing SmackDown Women's Title match, Moon shuffled back down the pack. She was a filler challenger; one who has only wrestled twice on television since then.

There's enough evidence in Ember's pre-injury run to suggest things won't change for any time soon, despite setting the world ablaze in the ring as NXT Champion. Too stunted and awkward on the microphone to make a breakthrough, her wings have been clipped on the main roster, though the Eclipse is too stunning to not get a pop.
