10 Wrestlers Who Jumped Ship & Changed Absolutely... NOTHING!

The career of Saraya-Jade Bevis is full of incredible highs and depressing lows. Somebody should make a movie about it. Oh wait!

Following a career-ending injury in 2018, the woman known as Paige in WWE spent years in various non-wrestling roles. Then, at AEW Grand Slam 2022, the unthinkable happened. Under her real name, Saraya stepped into the ring and made it clear that she was here to wrestle

Here was someone who had helped revolutionise women’s wrestling in the US. She was still relatively young and had a great story to tell. AEW couldn’t possibly screw this up, could they? It quickly became clear that wrestling had left Saraya behind. She got a big moment at the first All In, winning the AEW Women’s Championship in her home country, but she just wasn’t able to keep up with the rest of the roster.

Paige returned to WWE at WrestleMania 42 and won the Women’s Tag Team Titles with Brie Bella, but she is very much a nostalgia act now. It’s clear that Paige’s best in-ring days were taken from her through injury, which must be an incredibly bitter pill to swallow.
