4. Ruby Soho
The 2021 edition of AEW All Out is widely recognised as one of the greatest pay-per-views in modern times. The show famously saw the in-ring return of CM Punk, as well as the shocking debuts of Adam Cole and Bryan Danielson, but there was another debut on that show.
As part of the women’s 'Casino Battle Royal', Ruby Soho (formerly Ruby Riott in WWE) came out as the final ‘Joker’ entrant. She eliminated Thunder Rosa to win the match and earn a shot at Women’s Champion Britt Baker. Although Soho’s debut felt like a big deal at the time, it was quickly overshadowed by the surprises at the end of the show.
Over the next few weeks, it didn’t take long for Tony Khan to tire of his tattooed newcomer.
Soho lost her title match against Baker and almost immediately became an afterthought. She reached the finals of the TBS Title and Owen Hart Cup tournaments, but was more often than not found on shows like Rampage or Dark. She's still with the company now, having taken maternity leave, but you get the feeling that Ruby's ship has very much sailed.
