More than a decade ago, Ken Doane was considered a can't-miss prospect in OVW, one who was sure to take WWE by storm. Unfortunately, he was saddled with a terrible gimmick in the form of Kenny of The Spirit Squad, the leader of a group of male cheerleaders. When the character ran its course, he was repackaged as Kenny Dykstra, but the damage was done and he fizzled out.

Late last year, Kenny and fellow Squad member Mikey briefly returned to WWE as part of The Miz's feud with Dolph Ziggler, and it was clear that Kenny was hoping to get a full-time job out of the bargain - he was in great shape, ripped to shreds and showing it off every chance he got. Unfortunately, it didn't work, and the company didn't keep him on the roster past the program with Dolph.

Still, there's hope - "prime" is very much a subjective term, and even 11 years after making his main roster debut, Doane is still only 31 years old.
