The Best in the World vs The Best in the World. It writes itself. Both Superstars in their careers have utter those words to great effect, and it was only fitting that they would face off on the grandest stage of them all for the WWE Title. Despite not being the main event for the evening (Rock vs Cena), and the fact that less than thirty minutes earlier an end of an era emerged with the breathtaking Hell in a Cell Match between Undertaker and Triple H, both Punk and Jericho put on a Wrestlemania Classic.
The ending could've went either way, suffice to say CM Punk was finally able to submit Jericho with the Anaconda Vice, but only after several attempts of the manoeuvre. This is one match that has to be seen to embrace how special it was.
This isn't their only classic match either, one month later at Extreme Rules showcased another spectacular encounter.
