10 Wrestlers Who Made Terrible Commentators

8. The Miz

The Miz doesn't often get credit for being one of the better talkers in WWE today. The peak of his mic work came during his WWE Championship run in 2011, but even his degrading promos directed toward Damien Mizdow during their recent stint together were above average.

Say what you will about his skills inside in the squared circle (though they have improved over the years), but he's exceptional at getting a crowd to hate him whenever he has a mic in his hands.

After dropping the WWE title, Miz floundered for some time and struggled with his various face and heel turns. With no prominent place for him on the show, he turned to commentary, which seemed to be a logical fit for him given his skills on the stick. He tried his hand at announcing on the September 3, 2012 edition of Raw and did well for himself, later earning a permanent spot on WWE's newest program Main Event as a color commentator.

But when calling the action, he was average at best, but even as a babyface, he spent far too much time talking about himself. And while his self-centered personality is perfect for when he's a heel, but as a commentator, it's too distracting from what's going on in the ring.
