Former Super Bowl Champion Steve McMichael joined WCW as a color commentator in 1995, and soon found work for his wife, Debra - she would appear as an audience plant or a valet. Soon, though, the company decided to let reality cross over into its programming. Debra was acknowledged as McMichael's wife, and unwanted affection from Ric Flair forced the Chicago Bear to get into the ring to defend her honor. He teamed with fellow NFL alumnus Kevin Greene against the Horsemen, but turned on his partner, paving the way for he and Debra to join the faction. Eventually, though, Debra jilted McMichael, leaving him to join Jeff Jarrett. McMichael got revenge when he defeated Jarrett for the U.S. Title. The McMichaels, who first married in 1985, divorced in 1998. Debra left WCW for WWE, continuing her association with Jeff Jarrett.
