10 Wrestlers Who Modelled Their Whole Style On Other Wrestlers
9. The Big Show - Andre The Giant
Alright, it's actually not entirely fair to say that The Big Show based everything on Andre The Giant because, well, he's been doing this over 30 years now and is absolutely his own Very Big Man. However, as The Giant, he based so much on him that the only thing he really left out was a part in The Princess Bride and the word Andre.
This isn't exactly his fault, of course. There was simply absolutely no guide book on how to be over 7ft and wrestle well that wasn't just "do what Andre did" and WCW's desire to cash in on his personal brand meant that his moveset, cadence - christ even his ring attire - was designed to be as close as it possibly could to his predecessor.
In fact it's entirely possible that Big Show could have had a very comfortable career if he's just kept the Son-Of-Andre gimmick up for the duration of his career, and the fact that he later chose to invent his own style in WWE is one of his biggest achievements. I mean, everything he's done is big, he's nearly 400lbs for f***s sake, but you get the idea.
