10 Wrestlers Who MUST Be Signed For All Elite Wrestling

2. Joey Janela

Since his first "Spring Break" event hosted in conjunction with Game-Changer Wrestling during 2017's WrestleMania weekend, Joey Janela has become the lone performer outside of the Being The Elite crew that seems to understand exactly what the lapsed WWE fan wants from their wrestling.

His shows are a mix of madcap nostalgia and high octane action, featuring current and ex-stars in situations wholly unique to his well-curated GCW aesthetic. The events have presumably extended his rolodex exponentially, which could be of use to a burgeoning promotion such as All Elite Wrestling but that's before Janela himself locks up.

Should he recover from a devastating knee injury that's had him sidelined since September, his own insane artistry could provide some early wow-factor few other wrestlers would dare even attempt. His ALL IN encounter with Hangman Page was structured around the NJPW regular styling himself as a 'Joey Killer', and Janela's efforts playing the dead man walking not unappreciated by the Chicago natives. His regular repertoire is loaded with some of the terrifying bumps he took in that match - more of the same against some other Elite competitors would almost certainly earn the group some early GIF-friendly online kudos.
