10 Wrestlers Who MUST Be Signed For All Elite Wrestling

1. CM Punk

'The Voice Of The Voiceless' became the natural first choice for any WWE alternative the day he walked out of Vince McMahon's office in 2014, but has managed to almost entirely avoid pro wrestling ever since.

His dalliances with UFC didn't go well inside the Octagon, but he remained an enormous star on the other side of the mesh. His first fight over-performed at the box office, whilst he second at least generated an unparalleled level of buzz for a man that had been put on his a*se with ease in his debut.

Punk's aura amongst wrestling fans went largely untainted - as evidenced by the huge crowd that rushed to his Chicago autograph session the day before the iconic ALL IN event. The prospect of him calling "clobberin' time" on a raft of brand new opponents in an entirely new environment is absolutely tantalising, particularly if WWE (and their piles and piles of cash) still hold no interest for him.

Separating Punk from just about everybody else on this list is his experience of being a bona fide worldwide megastar. For all the collected achievements of everybody involved in the project, Punk's the only one to experience WWE-level recognition. The value of at least one performer having such a strong appeal can't be underestimated.
