Ariya Daivari is currently employed by WWE, and is most often found jobbing in quick matches to Cruiserweight talent, but his older brother Shawn continues to be out of the major leagues of wrestling. It's time to fix that.

While the older Daivari is known to be protective of his character and how he wants to be portrayed, he’s proven to be a great talker and solid in-ring worker over the course of his career. He first debuted in WWE in 2004, so he has a ton of experience, and despite being around for so long he’s he’s only 32.

Daivari was screwed over during his last run in TNA (as Sheik Abdul Bashir). He was slated to be the head of the World Elite stable, but the role was given to Eric Young. He wasn’t ready for that kind of push at that stage in his career. Daivari’s impending feud with the Main Event Mafia fell apart, and he remained directionless and incredibly frustrated before volunteering to win the pink slip in the Feast or Fired match. He then had a brief run in Lucha Underground, but his angle there also fell apart when Big Ryck left the promotion. It's been nothing but bad luck for him.

A return to Impact should be much more encouraging for Daivari, because Jeff Jarrett was the one who pushed for his signing the first go-around. With Double J back in charge, the talented wrestler may finally get that credible run he’s been seeking for years.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
