10 Wrestlers Who Must Return To Impact Wrestling

5. Low Ki

In order to play up the prestige and importance of the X Division Title in the new era, it would serve the company well to look to their past. TNA is nearly 15 years old, which means there aren’t many people they can bring back from the early days of the promotion and treat as a legitimate legacy act.

Jerry Lynn is retired. A.J. is in WWE. The Flying Elvises have sung their last song. But Low Ki is still out there and “only” 37-years-old. Despite so many years in the business, he's kept in fantastic shape, and would likely have a few more years of great matches in him.

TNA rarely treated Ki as a big deal during his time in the company, which is a shame as he’s one of the most distinct wrestlers of this generation. His offence is brutal, and he carries himself with a confidence few others possess. Add in his deceptively deep voice, and you have someone that stands out in a positive way.

While he was treated as an afterthought in the Beat Down Clan in his last run, Jeff Jarrett and Mantell may see a bit more in him these days. He would lend a credible name to the X Division, and would be a great talent for Trevor Lee to work with while being groomed for potential stardom.

With so many former X Division stars either in WWE or out of the business entirely, it would be satisfying to see Ki receive one last big run, and a series of opponents to kick the heads off of.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
