10 Wrestlers Who NEED Out Of AEW

6. Anthony Bowens

Please note: Anthony Bowens on his own, not with Max Caster and Billy Gunn. The Acclaimed package is sweet. It's been fumbled big time by Tony Khan over the years, but it still gets a reaction from live crowds and works as a midcard distraction. Bowens has more to offer than that though.

Anthony has looked really, really good anytime AEW has booked him in singles bouts against guys like Brian Cage, Jon Moxley and others. Those opportunities have been few and far between, granted, but Ant's performances always stand out when he gets the chance. It'd be fun to find out just how high he could go.

It's worth finding out.

AEW has typecast Bowens in that OTT tag-teamer role, so there's likely no chance he's breaking out into singles stardom at this stage in the game. A move over to NXT would let Anthony develop his skills and explore possibilities on his own. Personally, this fan would love to see what happened next.
