Say what you like about Jeff Hardy, the man certainly isn't going to die wondering.

A more than competent wrestler between the ropes, Jeff Hardy has built a career out of death-defying bumps, to the point where his matches almost became a 'guess the spot' sort of deal. Fans would watch Jeff matches not for the drama, but to try and see what high thing he would Swanton off.

Needless to say, these viewers were rarely disappointed. This was especially true during the halcyon days of WWF's tag team division, as Jeff and his brother Matt did battle frequently against Edge & Christian and the Dudley Boyz, more often than not in a variety of gimmick matches.

The Hardyz didn't win too many of these, and a lot of that can be put down to Jeff's inability to avoid jumping off high things through tables. You can call Jeff Hardy a lot of things, but 'fearless' is not one of them.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
