10 Wrestlers Who Remained Great Past 45

1. Chris Jericho

Like the wrestling equivalent of David Bowie, Chris Jericho has proven himself a master of reinvention time and time again. In recent years, Jericho has become a hot headed, rock and roll brawler going after a new generation of international talent. After years in WWE, Jericho became the face of their competition last year when he defeated Hangman Page to become the inaugural AEW World Champion.

A 7 time world champion, conquering AEW was just the latest feather in the cap of Jericho’s long and accomplished career. Jericho’s promos remain first class and his matches have a chaotic, dangerous atmosphere. While Jericho may not be quite the athlete he once was, his character work is at its best ever and his work in New Japan and AEW has proven him an effective draw. Now regarded as a household name of New Japan, AEW, WWE and WCW, Jericho’s second win since leaving WWE has fully revitalised him as a character and wrestler.

Having just dropped the title to Jon Moxley, Jericho already seems to be lining up Broken Matt Hardy as his next feud and could, potentially, be headlining shows for many years to come.
