10 Wrestlers Who Returned Under A Mask

9. Kurt Angle

In the build-up to WWE's "Crown Jewel" event in Saudi Arabia, Acting Raw General Manager, Baron Corbin, hosted a "Global Battle Royal" to decide who would have a place in the "World Cup" tournament at the show.

Naturally, Corbin entered himself in the match and was joined by various nameless nobodies, including a cook, a Russian, and the all-golden "Conquistador".

Corbin thought he'd won the match after throwing all the jabronis out of the ring, but The Conquistador revealed that he had never been eliminated and took Corbin on with an array of German Suplexes and even an Olympic Slam. Sound familiar?

Conquistador eventually won the match, before pulling back his mask to reveal that he was actually Corbin's arch-nemesis, Kurt Angle.

The former GM hadn't been on WWE TV since he was forced to "take a vacation" by Stephanie McMahon. His return was supposed to lead to bigger things, including a 5-on-5 match with Corbin at Survivor Series. Sadly, due to numerous reasons, this never happened.

Whilst it never actually went anywhere, seeing Angle dance around in a gold body suit before destroying Corbin with a suplex gave everyone flashbacks to the goofy Kurt days of the Attitude Era. And nobody was complaining about that.
