10 Wrestlers Who Returned Under A Mask
8. Hunico
The story of the "Sin Cara" character is a long and confusing one.
Originally portrayed by Mexican star, Mistico, the moniker was passed onto Jorge Arias when Mistico had to serve a thirty-day suspension.
Mistico's version of the character - nicknamed "Sin Cara Azul" - would eventually return and begin a feud with Arias' "Sin Cara Negro". The feud culminated at Hell in a Cell, where Arias lost and was forced to drop the Sin Cara name.
Arias would then work unmasked under the name Hunico, feuding with the likes of Ted DiBiase Jr. and challenging for the Tag Team Championships at Money in the Bank 2012.
Meanwhile, Mistico was not having a good time in WWE. He was continually mocked online for his repeated botches and was reportedly unhappy about not being allowed to wrestling in the style he had used in Mexico. In early 2014, Mistico was released from WWE, leaving the future of Sin Cara up in the air.
Arias returned to the role in December 2013, before Mistico left WWE but after his last televised appearance. Since then, he's gone onto win the NXT Tag Team titles with Kalisto and even got a match at WrestleMania 32 for the Intercontinental Championship.
The name "Huncio" hasn't been mentioned since.
