In 2018, something happened to Becky Lynch. She shed her quirky steampunk gimmick and became a tough, gruff, trash-talking badass. The fans fell in love with 'The Man', but there were so many points where this run could have come off the rails.

One such moment was the November 12th episode of Raw. Ahead of Survivor Series, the women of SmackDown launched an invasion of their sister brand with Lynch at the helm. This led to a mass brawl in the ring in which the Irishwoman came face-to-face with Nia Jax.

Jax, who had already garnered a reputation for being unsafe, launched a wayward punch that accidentally broke her enemy's nose. With blood streaming down her face, Lynch stood in the crowd jeering at Jax, creating one of the defining images of the year.

Lynch was taken off the Survivor Series card, which meant she couldn't compete in her scheduled match against Ronda Rousey. This left the door open for these two to feud in the build-up to WrestleMania 35, which culminated in the first ever all-female main event in 'Mania history.
