If there's any one wrestler who should enter this year's Royal Rumble at No. 1, it's Daniel Bryan: he makes the most sense out of anybody on the current roster from a storyline standpoint given his history with The Authority and there's no reason why they wouldn't want him to enter first. He's had a target on his back since SummerSlam 2013, finally overcoming The Authority when he defeated Triple H, Randy Orton and Batista all in one night at WrestleMania 30. Unfortunately, an abrupt neck injury sidelined him action for nearly a year and gave The Authority satisfaction that it was because of them that he was out. The Bearded One made his highly anticipated return on the final Raw of 2014, announcing his participation in the 2015 Royal Rumble; the same match he wasn't allowed to enter last year, thus sending the Pittsburgh crowd into a state of frenzy. There isn't a better way for Bryan to return to the main event scene than with a win in the Rumble, but it's not going to come easy. He'll be putting his spot in the annual Battle Royal on the line in a match against Kane on this week's SmackDown, but even if he wins, it's likely The Authority forces him to start the Rumble as No. 1 (much like CM Punk last year). Similar to Chris Benoit in 2004's Rumble, Bryan would prosper in the position, not to mention it'd make for the perfect story as his journey back to the main event of WrestleMania presses on.
