9. John Morrison

Throughout the combined 12 years that Morrison lit up the WWE ring, he was NEVER presented as a main event concern. As stated earlier in the intro, we are not counting the WWECW Title reign for reasons any respectable wrestling fan already knows.

In the ring, Morrison offered something pretty spectacular during his run through the mid-00's/early 10's. Nowadays, every wrestler and their manager can do backflips and crazy bumps, but he was doing it during a time when WWE was basing it's style on the likes of John Cena, Batista and Randy Orton.

Oozing cool and with a crowd popping style, Morrison could have easily ascended to the top belt. Considering he was trapped in the continuous trade-off of the secondary belts with The Miz, Dolph Ziggler and Kofi Kingston for what felt like an eternity (he racked up multiple reigns), it's sad that he was the only one of them who didn't eventually get the top belt.

It may have been a 'participation trophy' of a title run, but it feels like a blot against his WWE career that he was never given the chance.
