10 Wrestlers Who Should Never Have Made WWE Royal Rumble's 'Final 4'

5. Crush (1995)

One year later and things weren't looking too great for the then-WWF roster. The 1995 Royal Rumble was one of the weakest in history, with Shawn Michaels entering at number one and in truth being the only option to win the entire thing. The roster was so weak that Henry O. Godwinn made the final five, and that seemed entirely reasonable.

Slightly less reasonable was the fact that post-Hawaii and pre-convict Crush made the final three. Crush had just returned to the company, and as a result was receiving his annual push in an attempt to make him a threat, which yet again ended in failure.

Such a failure in fact, that a few months later Crush was arrested for purchasing steroids and possessing an illegal gun. He would return to the company in 1996, for another failed run as a monster heel.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
