The 2021 Men's Royal Rumble had one of the best finishes in the match's recent history. Edge, thought he'd won the match after throwing out Seth Rollins but, in true Viper fashion, Randy Orton got back in the ring and took the Rated-R Superstar down. Orton had been taken out of the match earlier in the night and had returned to ruin Edge's night. Or had he?

Edge managed to send his old rival flying over the top rope, securing his second Rumble victory 11 years to the day after his first and booking his spot in the main event of WrestleMania 37. The Hall of Famer became just the third man in history to win the Rumble match from the number one spot. Interestingly, this was also the third time that numbers one and two in the Rumble had been the final participants, as Orton had started the match alongside Edge.

Because he was out of the ring for so long, Orton wasn't able to eliminate anybody over the course of the entire Rumble match. At just ninety seconds short of a full hour, this is one Rumble record that may last for many years to come.
