10 Wrestlers Who Turned Down WWE Contracts

6. Carlito

Every few months or so, rumours begin doing the rounds that everybody's favourite apple-spitter Carlito is 'set to sign' with WWE, ending an exile from the company beginning 2010.

And every time, it proves utterly bogus. The most recent example came last October, when Savio Vega, operating as some sort of Puerto Rican talent broker, heavily implied Carly Colon was in advanced talks with WWE management over a comeback. We're nearly half a year on, and yet pips still remain un-expectorated on WWE screens.

Although his brother Primo, and cousin Epico, are, somehow, still under WWE's employ, it seems Carlito simply has no interest in the easy money at the Big E - or that easy money isn't big enough. He rejected similar overtures in 2015, with a disagreement on remuneration the apparent dealbreaker. He needs to be mindful that the longer he stays away, the less value his name holds.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
