10 Wrestlers Who Turned Heel On AEW

In a less-than-ideal worked shoot development, Eddie Kingston became increasingly frustrated with All Elite Wrestling in late-2022 and early-2023.

Taking to Twitter to blitz the company for featuring MJF heavily on the February 8th Dynamite, he said;

"Side note since we need to see his world champ 3 times within a hour and a half when it is a two hour show. f**k ortiz f**k house of black and f**k the roster. Born aline die alone I tried. I don't need anyone including mox and penta. f**k everyone. Especially the "pillars "

He followed that up with an interview for Sactown Sports 1140, ahead of the March 1st edition of the flagship where he was slated to compete in a "Face Of The Revolution Ladder Match", where he said;

“I may not be in Sacramento. It all depends how certain things in the locker room, and the office. Especially with this match that’s coming up Wednesday. I’m not real happy about it. So we have to have a talk. I’m not gonna say who’s the office. Everyone knows about Tony, but there’s others. We all gotta get together and talk. I wanna go everywhere, but I also gotta be a businessman and put my foot down at some point in a calm manner. That’s what I’m still trying to learn. In a calm, professional manner."

All of this resulted in 'The Mad King' "walking out" of the company...straight into the main event of Ring Of Honor's Supercard Of Honor. He lost that and has since had to take a break through injury, but turning on the company before he left felt as counter-productive as it was smalltime for a persona with such a high ceiling.
