10 Wrestlers Who Went To Insane Lengths To Get Over (But Didn't)

9. Shotzi's Bumps Get Her Nowhere

There are fewer and fewer words left to describe WWE.

WWE does what WWE wants to do, what WWE wants to do is no-sell the talent's talent. The results, predictably, are dire.

What else can be expected of this process?

Shotzi is a generic heel who tries and frankly mostly fails to work the patterned WWE style. It's not a fit for her particular skillset, but god f*cking damn it, that's the way it's gotta be. For some reason.

They've turned her into the complete opposite of what got her over.

And now she isn't over.

She went to insane lengths to set herself apart, too; a wild bumper, Shotzi shot to indie infamy by diving headfirst into stacked chairs, and carried that form into NXT. While rather ill-advised, it worked; Shotzi often twisted herself into the shape of a scorpion by either failing to rotate correctly when delivering an aerial attack or mistiming a bump on the apron. Her deranged commitment set her apart. Her lack of refined craft and no-f*cks disposition was endearing. WWE subsequently polished what they perceived to be a turd, but couldn't even sell it for $5.

There are surely less painful ways of ending up doing three minute jobs to Sasha Banks.
