10 Wrestlers Who Were BEGGING To Be Fired

Charlotte might just be following in daddy dearest's footsteps.

Ric Flair has never been a stranger to controversy himself. Back in 1998, the 'Nature Boy' decided to lock horns with Eric Bischoff in a wrestler vs. boss battle that mimicked McMahon vs. Austin in some ways (albeit without ever coming close to that cherished feud) on screen, but was totally different backstage.

Whilst Vince and Steve were high-fiving and laughing at their antics behind the curtain, Flair and Bischoff had been warring for real. Eric and other Turner higher-ups didn't take kindly to Ric ditching WCW obligations for personal ones, and that led to major heat between Flair and Bisch.

Ric's infamous, "Fire me! I'm already fired! Fire me! I'm already fired!" rant on Nitro was an explosive outburst from somebody who genuinely fancied taking a swing at Eric. The fact that Flair conducted this speech in his boxer shorts will come as no surprise to anyone who has followed his life and career.

Bischoff has admitted that he couldn't stand Ric back then, but he did recognise his value.
